Siamese Fighting Fish at Anantara Chiang Mai Resort . A captivating photography exhibition “The Beauty of Siam: Anantara Siamese Fighting Fish”, a portrait series by the renowned photographer Visarute Angkatavanich. His work took the world by storm with his richly hued portraits of the iconic Thai fish, the Betta splendens. The exhibition is set to add locally inspired vibrancy to Anantara Chiang Mai Resort from 1st November to 30th November, 2019.

A Study of the Classic Tale of Khun Chang Khun Phaen  with Dr. Tony Waters and guest presenters Chris Baker and Pasuk Phongpaichit, translators. The epic poem Khun Chang Khun Phaen ranks among the most well-known works of classical Thai literature.  Set amidst the social panorama of the Ayutthaya period, it is a story of love, war, and loss.  The first session of the course will focus on the literary context of Khun Chang, Khun Phaen.  The second session will include a summary and discussion of the love triangle and the battles. The third session will be a conversation with Chris Baker and Pasuk Pongpaichit who spent ten years translating the epic Thai verse into English prose. Mondays, from 10 - noon. Our group, OA (Over-eaters Anonymous), offers an effective means of combating compulsive eating. OA is a non-religious support group focusing on spiritual growth of the Twelve Step. There are no dues or fees. We are self-supporting through nominal member donations. Anyone seeking to end compulsive eating is welcome.
